In Her Shoes

Ladies this one is not just for you alone(Smiles) so relax a bit.
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”

As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" From every angle.

We have all heard the sayings, "walking a mile in someone else's shoes" or "You can't understand a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes," “Don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes” and you really cannot.  You still see things from your own perspective.

It’s a reminder that we can NEVER know what it’s like to be that person.

When you hear, see or experience other people's lives our mind reacts, to try to put ourselves in their shoes and consider how we would deal with it.  It’s impossible, for us to actually do so from their true perspective. We would hear, see, and experience things differently and our history of life and personality make up affect that.

Let’s take the saying literal – if I were to walk in your shoes for a mile my foot maybe larger or smaller, contoured differently with a higher or lower arch.  My foot might be wider or narrower.  I will NEVER feel what you do! I would feel your shoes through my feet! It would help me understand what it's like to be me wearing your shoes, but it still doesn’t mean I know what YOU feel!

You can live with someone your/their whole life but that doesn’t mean you are in their shoes.  You may know intimate details or have a better idea of what the other person goes through, but that is still not walking in their shoes. No matter how much you think YOU do, you do NOT and cannot.  We are all made up of our perceptions, experiences of success and failures, our societal programming, our genders, our whole being. "Psalms 139:14 explains how wonderfully we are made"

To walk in her shoes we would have to wipe clear all of who we are and then copy over who the other person is.  It is NOT possible to do that. Our parents, society, friends, religious leaders expects us to walk or follow their footsteps and when we slip they are never around to help us up most times, rather they judge us immediately....(This hurts so much). Even when technology allows us/you to dump memories or experiences from others into our own brains, they will NOT be the same!

We are all created differently and a challenge I find difficult, someone else would find easy.  We are all tainted and tinted by life. .  Closing YOUR eyes for the whole day doesn’t mean you know what a blind person feels!  It might give you a better perspective but NOT the same.  Just as someone who loses their sight and someone who was born without sight, they both have differences and know things differently.
We can only say we think we know what the other person feels or experiences indirectly.  We are guessing albeit an educated guess, it is still a guess!

ROM 14:4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants?  Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall.  And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

So, when we pen down "The New Resolution" let's remember that we can't do any of the things we pen down on our except we allow Jesus help us, let's also pen them down because we mean them and "Not because we want to be him or her"
Try not to judge another who wouldn't want to walk "IN YOUR SHOES".....

How Justified Are You.... .

We are saved not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit"</strong></em> Total Justification by faith was Martin Luther's great spiritual and theological breakthrough. It did not come easily. He had tried everything from sleeping on hard floors and fasting to climbing a staircase in Rome while kneeling in prayer. Monasteries, disciplines, confessions, masses, absolutions, good works-all proved fruitless. Peace with God eluded him. The thought of the righteousness of God pursued him. He hated the very word "righteousness," which he believed provided a divine mandate to condemn him. Light finally dawned for Luther as he meditated on Romans 1:17, "<em>For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith</em>." He saw for the first time that the righteousness Paul ha...

Something He Was.....

Once again he's bruised and broken, before he has the chance to explain the words spoken. Misguided and lied to one more time, made him stand up and fight for what's right One door closed as another one opened. The scars will fade from every stroke and cut. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs. It's not an open heart that will eternally bleed A strong man has grown from something he was He's got places to go and knows where to begin from Blindness has led him to a dead end street, but another avenue appeared at his street With shadows behind him, he looked at what lie ahead He felt renewed strength to dry tears that were shed He brushed off the dirt and reprogrammed his mind With much needed self love, his mind will unwind With a look in the mirror and a smile on his face, his wounds will be healing, his steps retraced. But he's determined to make it and he knows that he can Because the man that he was is now Better

Facing Your Giants.......

Now this is not funny but we all face moments like this!"</em></strong> We all will face giants at one time or another in our lives. By giants, I am speaking of what seem to be insurmountable problems and issues. We try to fell these giants, but often they seem to only grow stronger with the passing of time. It could be a giant of fear. Or it might be a giant of some type of personal sin that you fall into again and again. It might be the sin of pride or envy or gluttony or lust or something else. In a related way, your giant might be one of addiction, something that has a grip on your life. Then again, it could be a giant of threat that is taunting you today. Someone has slandered you. A lawsuit has been filed against you. The boss seems to always push you against the wall, people around seems to misjudge and believe the worst of you, your friends believe you are odd cos you don't do what they do or believe what they believe in. Maybe there is even a threat aga...
