How Justified Are You.... .

We are saved not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit"</strong></em> Total Justification by faith was Martin Luther's great spiritual and theological breakthrough. It did not come easily. He had tried everything from sleeping on hard floors and fasting to climbing a staircase in Rome while kneeling in prayer. Monasteries, disciplines, confessions, masses, absolutions, good works-all proved fruitless. Peace with God eluded him. The thought of the righteousness of God pursued him. He hated the very word "righteousness," which he believed provided a divine mandate to condemn him. Light finally dawned for Luther as he meditated on Romans 1:17, "<em>For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith</em>." He saw for the first time that the righteousness Paul ha

The Church........

Look around, tell me, what do you see? You might not smell the smoke, but the fire is approaching. “When sinners are careless and stupid, and sinking into hell unconcerned, it is time the church should bestir themselves. It is as much the duty of the church to awake, as it is for the firemen to awake when a fire breaks out in the night in a great city. The church ought to put out the fires of hell which are laying hold of the wicked. Sleep! Should the firemen sleep, and let the whole city burn down, what would be thought of such firemen? And yet their guilt would not compare with the guilt of Christians who sleep while sinners around them are sinking stupid into the fires of hell.” <em><strong>"God is never on the defensive. God is always on the offensive</strong></em>". Of course, when men go to do a task they strip from off themselves, oh, cumbersome garments. The purpose and plan of almighty of God is the reviving of his church, the reviving

Blinded Devotion.........

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes people tick?  What moves people to do the things they do?  What causes people to react in the many ways they do?</strong></em> There can be no leaders without some form of followers. They( most leaders), with their smooth and fair speech, beguile the hearts of the innocent.  Because the leaders are blind, those who follow after them likewise are blind.  Their sense of assurance is a false sense of assurance.  They think they have peace when in reality they are like Judah of old crying, “Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14).  Many of our own congregations are like the churches at Sardis who have a reputation that lives but are dead (Revelation 3:1) and at Laodicea who say, “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;” but are really “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17).   The blind who follow are those who do not exercise their senses to discern both good

Keep Smiling.......

Don't be foolish and get sour when things don't just come your way-- Don't you be a pampered baby and declare, "Now I won't play!" Just go grinning on and bear it; Have you heartache? Millions share it, If you earn a crown, you'll wear it-- Keep smiling.... Bless your heart, this world's a good one, and will always help a man; Hate, misanthropy, and malice have no place in Nature's plan. Help your brother there who's sighing. Keep his flag of courage flying; Help him try--'twill keep you trying-- Keep smiling,... To believe is to know that every day is a new beginning. Is to trust that miracles happen, and dreams really do come true. Believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds, To know the wonder of a stardust sky and the wisdom of the man in the moon If your dearest hopes seem blighted and despair looms into view, Set your jaw and whisper grimly, "Though they're false, yet I'll be true." Never

Reach For The Stars.....

Almost everyone has heard someone tell them to reach for the stars. I know I have. But sometimes when we do our best to be our best, it just doesn't feel like we are reaching the expectations society sets for us in life. I believe that as long as you are doing your very best to be your very best (in any aspect of life, school, sports, work, ect). NOBODY can tell you what you can and can't do. If you reach for the stars but end up landing on the Moon, it's better than standing still, and you should be proud of that. All of my goals in life have been considered farfetched by others, but to me I know I can reach them. I know I will try my hardest and put my heart and soul into everything that I do in the future because I want my dream to come true so badly. But if something happens where I would not be able to accomplish what I had hoped to accomplish, at least I know I tried. All of the lessons I will learn in life’s journey, I will be able to teach to my children and they

Twist of Life......

<a href="http://whitneyibeblog.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/wp-1484073620742.jpeg"><img title="wp-1484073620742" class="alignnone size-full" alt="image" src="http://whitneyibeblog.files.wordpress.com/2017/01/wp-1484073620742.jpeg" /></a>   You see, the twist of Life is always unexpected.  It's just another one of those things I don’t understand fully: everyone impresses upon you how unique you are, encouraging you to cultivate your individuality while at the same time trying to squish you and everyone else into the same ridiculous mould. It’s an artist’s right to rebel against the world’s stupidity. People are born and death is inevitable ......We are unable to give respect to our own parents but show pity to old people on Facebook and social media, on the streets, in the mall, at the office, in the church.  Soldiers are protecting us at border but politicians and even our own citizen eating their country from ins

Facing Your Giants.......

Now this is not funny but we all face moments like this!"</em></strong> We all will face giants at one time or another in our lives. By giants, I am speaking of what seem to be insurmountable problems and issues. We try to fell these giants, but often they seem to only grow stronger with the passing of time. It could be a giant of fear. Or it might be a giant of some type of personal sin that you fall into again and again. It might be the sin of pride or envy or gluttony or lust or something else. In a related way, your giant might be one of addiction, something that has a grip on your life. Then again, it could be a giant of threat that is taunting you today. Someone has slandered you. A lawsuit has been filed against you. The boss seems to always push you against the wall, people around seems to misjudge and believe the worst of you, your friends believe you are odd cos you don't do what they do or believe what they believe in. Maybe there is even a threat aga

Something He Was.....

Once again he's bruised and broken, before he has the chance to explain the words spoken. Misguided and lied to one more time, made him stand up and fight for what's right One door closed as another one opened. The scars will fade from every stroke and cut. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs. It's not an open heart that will eternally bleed A strong man has grown from something he was He's got places to go and knows where to begin from Blindness has led him to a dead end street, but another avenue appeared at his street With shadows behind him, he looked at what lie ahead He felt renewed strength to dry tears that were shed He brushed off the dirt and reprogrammed his mind With much needed self love, his mind will unwind With a look in the mirror and a smile on his face, his wounds will be healing, his steps retraced. But he's determined to make it and he knows that he can Because the man that he was is now Better
