Facing Your Giants.......

Now this is not funny but we all face moments like this!"</em></strong>

We all will face giants at one time or another in our lives. By giants, I am speaking of what seem to be insurmountable problems and issues. We try to fell these giants, but often they seem to only grow stronger with the passing of time.

It could be a giant of fear. Or it might be a giant of some type of personal sin that you fall into again and again. It might be the sin of pride or envy or gluttony or lust or something else.

In a related way, your giant might be one of addiction, something that has a grip on your life. Then again, it could be a giant of threat that is taunting you today. Someone has slandered you. A lawsuit has been filed against you. The boss seems to always push you against the wall, people around seems to misjudge and believe the worst of you, your friends believe you are odd cos you don't do what they do or believe what they believe in. Maybe there is even a threat against your very life.

Or it might be a different kind of giant altogether, like an unbelieving spouse or a prodigal child. You have prayed for them. You have asked the Lord to reach them, yet they seem to become more hardened by sin as the years pass by. You find yourself wondering how you will ever overcome this.

<em><strong>So how do we deal with giants?</strong></em>

First of, recognise that we all have giants. We all face severe hardships, seemingly insurmountable obstacles and temptations. We all have problems. We all have temptations. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure"

"<em><strong>While it is true we all have giants, it is also true that every giant can be defeated. After all, giants rarely start out that way"</strong></em>

Giants often begin quite small. When we have a big sin in our lives, it started as a little sin that was allowed, nurtured, fed, and even encouraged, and then became a giant that taunts us. It started with a so-called Christian liberty that we proclaimed and is now getting the best of us.

<strong><em>In time, little things become big things.</em></strong>

Secondly, realise that the battle belongs to the Lord. David told Goliath, "This is the Lord's battle, and he will give you to us!" (1 Samuel 17:47). That is why giants defeat us again and again—because we face them in our own strength and we lose. We need to realise this is the Lord's battle.

Thirdly, attack your giant. Goliath had come into the actual territory of the Israelites. He had crossed their line. He was taunting them. And if you tolerate a Goliath, he will take over your territory. He will come right up on your doorstep.

That is why you don't run from giants. You don't negotiate with them. You attack them

I do not know what giant you are facing today, yet I can promise you that you do not have to fight him alone. Just as David found the courage to fight the giant, Goliath, you can have the same courage to fight the giant in your life. No matter what you are facing, God is right there beside you, holding your hand, if you will only have faith and trust in Him

The Mighty Deeds Of God

One attribute of the Almighty God that children of God cannot afford to be ignorant of is that He is the creates Warrior. The children of Isreal experienced the mighty deeds of God and they spontaneously composed a song, you can see that in (Exodus 15:1-4) When children of God fail to recognise the fact that their Father in Heaven is a man of war,the tendency is that they cringe and bow to worship their enemies in fear. This in turn will bring the judgement of God upon their lives because God Says in Exodus 20:3 that we must have no other god before Him. This is why Jesus came to deliver those who,for the fear of death, have subjected themselves to everlasting bondage. I have seen the mighty deeds of God in my life and I have come to the conclusion that there is no God as Mighty as my Father in Heaven. I want you to know that the mighty deeds of God will become a daily occurrence in your life if you can identify with the covenant which Jesus made with His blood at Calvary.  He lov...

Accuracy…#WatchWord

There are three very important things you can always give but still keep at the same time…Your word, a smile, and a Grateful heart! We should not let bad things in out past effect good things in our future. No matter how far wrong you have gone. You can always turn around. I still wonder how some people can live and not smile, be grateful or even keep their words. Today they blow hot, tomorrow they blow cold. It’s still a mystery to me and maybe with time, i will figure that out.  I woke up tired like I ran a race last night and just didn’t feel like going to church. But then I need to start my week right by first getting it right with God (my maker) and I am so I had to go. Although it was almost as if I dragged myself there but every word spoken left me grateful for coming. In church, I learned that average people have wishes and hopes, confident people have goals and plans. We close our eyes for what we don't want to see, just to enjoy the lies we love to hear....

Something He Was.....

Once again he's bruised and broken, before he has the chance to explain the words spoken. Misguided and lied to one more time, made him stand up and fight for what's right One door closed as another one opened. The scars will fade from every stroke and cut. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs. It's not an open heart that will eternally bleed A strong man has grown from something he was He's got places to go and knows where to begin from Blindness has led him to a dead end street, but another avenue appeared at his street With shadows behind him, he looked at what lie ahead He felt renewed strength to dry tears that were shed He brushed off the dirt and reprogrammed his mind With much needed self love, his mind will unwind With a look in the mirror and a smile on his face, his wounds will be healing, his steps retraced. But he's determined to make it and he knows that he can Because the man that he was is now Better
