Agree With God..#Be Doubtless!

I am grieved when I hear people devalue themselves with comments such as “I am so stupid”, “I hate the way I look”, “I never do anything right”. When I ask them why they are so fast to condemn themselves their responses are always “My mama said I would never be anything”, “my step father says I’m a failure”, “my friends says I’m a failure”, “my boss doesn’t see anything good in me”. These remarks and many others are so sad and derogatory, they represent an unbiblical way people think about themselves and I have come to understand how dangerous that kind of speaking and thinking is. It does not reflect the truth of God’s word, align with the way He thinks about us. It leaves us trapped and continually live in fear, be less fruitful and less powerful than He desires us to be.

We can never rise above the thoughts and beliefs we have towards ourselves, so we must make sure we believe what God says about us. We must stop merely agreeing with other people and their negative pronouncements, our circumstances, our flesh and the devil. We must begin to agree with God. He says we find our true worth and value in the fact that He loves us and sent His son to die for us. We have been purchased for God by the blood of Jesus. When God looks at us, He is not looking to see what we do, where we live, who we know, how we dress, or how many educational degrees we hold. He is looking at our hearts, saying, “That man is worth so much that I sent my son to die for him”. “That woman is so valuable because she belongs to me and I love her”.

Let me be personal for a moment. I have come to the point in my life where I know and believe my value as a person is not in the fact that I own Whitneyibeblog or I’m a Motivational Speaker. It is my calling and my duty to inspire and motivate people to be better to the Glory of God. I do it for God and yes it has its own challenges but it’s exciting and I am blessed in doing it. But if I didn’t do it, would I be less valuable or worthless? No way! My worth and value in God’s eyes would not change one bit.

The same is true for you. God does not measure your worth by what you do. Now, the enemy will try to make you believe you would be worth less if you stop doing the things you do or if you don’t measure up to the standards set by man, friends, family etc. But this is not true, so do not allow yourself to become entrapped in that lie. You don’t need to listen to him. The truth is that God loves you; He cares for you; He wanted a relationship with you so much that He sent His son to suffer and die just so you could draw near to Him. You have incredible worth and value to Him. You have to choose to believe that because the enemy and the world will work hard to convince you otherwise.

Obviously, God has something for each of us to do and we should be busy doing it and bearing good fruit. The point I want to make is that what we do should not be compelled to what someone else does, nor should we seek or derive our worth and value from what we do but rather on what God says about us. One person may be a singer while another is a great bricklayer, but both are equally valuable to God.

You may be asking,” If I am so valuable to God, why do I feel so bad about myself?” You see, your worth and identity are established in God’s heart and recorded in his word. Your position of value is legal, spiritually speaking, because Jesus has given it to you. However, you may not feel it experimentally because there is a process involved in understanding and receiving what he has done. When you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He made you righteous in the eyes of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Well, this does not mean you do everything right, but it does mean you can press toward better behavior every day of your life and meanwhile God still sees you as righteous because of your faith in him. When you also received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you were made a new creature and right with God. Everything about your old self passed away from God’s perspective. You received a new heart, a new future, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, you were filled with new possibilities and so much more.

You have a legal right to feel good about yourself. It’s simply not biblical to walk around feeling rotten about yourself all the time. You do sin and make mistakes; you still need mercy every day, but you have a new identity in Jesus Christ. You are a blood bought child of God with more worth and value than you could ever imagine. God has done a work inside you if only I can make you see that.

Your job today my dear, is to cooperate with Him by yielding to his guidance in your life and by believing what God says about you in His word. God bless you….Shalom!

The Mighty Deeds Of God

One attribute of the Almighty God that children of God cannot afford to be ignorant of is that He is the creates Warrior. The children of Isreal experienced the mighty deeds of God and they spontaneously composed a song, you can see that in (Exodus 15:1-4) When children of God fail to recognise the fact that their Father in Heaven is a man of war,the tendency is that they cringe and bow to worship their enemies in fear. This in turn will bring the judgement of God upon their lives because God Says in Exodus 20:3 that we must have no other god before Him. This is why Jesus came to deliver those who,for the fear of death, have subjected themselves to everlasting bondage. I have seen the mighty deeds of God in my life and I have come to the conclusion that there is no God as Mighty as my Father in Heaven. I want you to know that the mighty deeds of God will become a daily occurrence in your life if you can identify with the covenant which Jesus made with His blood at Calvary.  He lov...

Accuracy…#WatchWord

There are three very important things you can always give but still keep at the same time…Your word, a smile, and a Grateful heart! We should not let bad things in out past effect good things in our future. No matter how far wrong you have gone. You can always turn around. I still wonder how some people can live and not smile, be grateful or even keep their words. Today they blow hot, tomorrow they blow cold. It’s still a mystery to me and maybe with time, i will figure that out.  I woke up tired like I ran a race last night and just didn’t feel like going to church. But then I need to start my week right by first getting it right with God (my maker) and I am so I had to go. Although it was almost as if I dragged myself there but every word spoken left me grateful for coming. In church, I learned that average people have wishes and hopes, confident people have goals and plans. We close our eyes for what we don't want to see, just to enjoy the lies we love to hear....

Something He Was.....

Once again he's bruised and broken, before he has the chance to explain the words spoken. Misguided and lied to one more time, made him stand up and fight for what's right One door closed as another one opened. The scars will fade from every stroke and cut. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs. It's not an open heart that will eternally bleed A strong man has grown from something he was He's got places to go and knows where to begin from Blindness has led him to a dead end street, but another avenue appeared at his street With shadows behind him, he looked at what lie ahead He felt renewed strength to dry tears that were shed He brushed off the dirt and reprogrammed his mind With much needed self love, his mind will unwind With a look in the mirror and a smile on his face, his wounds will be healing, his steps retraced. But he's determined to make it and he knows that he can Because the man that he was is now Better
