Agree With God..#Be Doubtless!

I am grieved when I hear people devalue themselves with comments such as “I am so stupid”, “I hate the way I look”, “I never do anything right”. When I ask them why they are so fast to condemn themselves their responses are always “My mama said I would never be anything”, “my step father says I’m a failure”, “my friends says I’m a failure”, “my boss doesn’t see anything good in me”. These remarks and many others are so sad and derogatory, they represent an unbiblical way people think about themselves and I have come to understand how dangerous that kind of speaking and thinking is. It does not reflect the truth of God’s word, align with the way He thinks about us. It leaves us trapped and continually live in fear, be less fruitful and less powerful than He desires us to be.

We can never rise above the thoughts and beliefs we have towards ourselves, so we must make sure we believe what God says about us. We must stop merely agreeing with other people and their negative pronouncements, our circumstances, our flesh and the devil. We must begin to agree with God. He says we find our true worth and value in the fact that He loves us and sent His son to die for us. We have been purchased for God by the blood of Jesus. When God looks at us, He is not looking to see what we do, where we live, who we know, how we dress, or how many educational degrees we hold. He is looking at our hearts, saying, “That man is worth so much that I sent my son to die for him”. “That woman is so valuable because she belongs to me and I love her”.

Let me be personal for a moment. I have come to the point in my life where I know and believe my value as a person is not in the fact that I own Whitneyibeblog or I’m a Motivational Speaker. It is my calling and my duty to inspire and motivate people to be better to the Glory of God. I do it for God and yes it has its own challenges but it’s exciting and I am blessed in doing it. But if I didn’t do it, would I be less valuable or worthless? No way! My worth and value in God’s eyes would not change one bit.

The same is true for you. God does not measure your worth by what you do. Now, the enemy will try to make you believe you would be worth less if you stop doing the things you do or if you don’t measure up to the standards set by man, friends, family etc. But this is not true, so do not allow yourself to become entrapped in that lie. You don’t need to listen to him. The truth is that God loves you; He cares for you; He wanted a relationship with you so much that He sent His son to suffer and die just so you could draw near to Him. You have incredible worth and value to Him. You have to choose to believe that because the enemy and the world will work hard to convince you otherwise.

Obviously, God has something for each of us to do and we should be busy doing it and bearing good fruit. The point I want to make is that what we do should not be compelled to what someone else does, nor should we seek or derive our worth and value from what we do but rather on what God says about us. One person may be a singer while another is a great bricklayer, but both are equally valuable to God.

You may be asking,” If I am so valuable to God, why do I feel so bad about myself?” You see, your worth and identity are established in God’s heart and recorded in his word. Your position of value is legal, spiritually speaking, because Jesus has given it to you. However, you may not feel it experimentally because there is a process involved in understanding and receiving what he has done. When you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, He made you righteous in the eyes of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Well, this does not mean you do everything right, but it does mean you can press toward better behavior every day of your life and meanwhile God still sees you as righteous because of your faith in him. When you also received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you were made a new creature and right with God. Everything about your old self passed away from God’s perspective. You received a new heart, a new future, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, you were filled with new possibilities and so much more.

You have a legal right to feel good about yourself. It’s simply not biblical to walk around feeling rotten about yourself all the time. You do sin and make mistakes; you still need mercy every day, but you have a new identity in Jesus Christ. You are a blood bought child of God with more worth and value than you could ever imagine. God has done a work inside you if only I can make you see that.

Your job today my dear, is to cooperate with Him by yielding to his guidance in your life and by believing what God says about you in His word. God bless you….Shalom!

The Altar and The Door

Five,Four,Three,Two,One! My New Year's resolution will be to loose 100 pounds, stop smoking, stop drinking, get into shape, eat healthy. "Two weeks later," OH,I give up". In life its easy to say things or set high goals but as time passes things get difficult and giving in to temptations seems to be the only way out. A Christian life, like new year resolutions, feels simple. It is all black and white while at the altar where "we know how to live and what direction to take",but after church,"somewhere between the "Altar and the Door" everything turns gray again. At the Altar Jesus expects us to leave everything that weighs on our shoulders to Him and not to leave with any when we walk out of the door. At the Altar we are full of confidence, we know who we are, what we are supposed to do,which road in life to take and how we are supposed to live. But the frustration comes however when we leave the Altar and have to take the things we left there with...

Being You....

Joke For The Day

A drunkard woke up one morning deeply repentant after a bitter fight with his wife the previous night. He noticed with dismay the crate of beer bottles that had caused the fight. He took it outside and started smashing the empty bottles one by one onto the wall. He smashed the first bottle swearing, "you are the reason I fight with my wife". He smashed the second bottle, "you are the reason I don't love my children". He smashed the third bottle, "you are the reason I don't have a decent job". When he took the fourth bottle, he realized that the bottle was still sealed, full and cold. He hesitated for a moment and said "you stand aside, I know you were not involved. 😄😄😄😄😜😜😜😜😂😂😂
