The Place Of Prayer In The Life Of Our Children….

As parents, guardians, wards, it’s our deepest desire to see our children happy, successful, amiable, virtuous and role models. We would sacrifice anything to see them happy and out of danger. Won’t we?. We would even go as far as denying ourselves happiness, comforts, just to make them happy and succeed in all their endeavor. We believe that if it’s well with them today it will be well with us tomorrow. But even with all efforts, sacrifices, pains, hurts, discomforts, we still feel it’s not enough, like we haven’tdone our best nor given our best even when we know we’ve given all we have. All our visions and hopes are in their welfare and in them achieving greater heights than we ever did right?

How about channeling all our anxieties, worries, expectations into prayers? Do you know the place of prayer in the life of any individual? If you do, then you will understand why it’s important for us to pray for our children every day and not sometimes. A wise and clever enemy will always use misdirection to make advances and gain advantages for his attacks and that includes our children.
The number one enemy of every believer aside from himself is the devil. For every time we neglect our children he preoccupies us with activities that makes us focus only on here and now, thereby blinding us to the needs of our children. We focus more on corrections than on praying, which we still find difficult to do. We need to remember what Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)  says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Most of our struggles are spiritually manipulated. I’m not saying there are no physical trial but the spiritual realms controls what happens in the physical. Every spiritual battle or struggle must be fought spiritually. Only the Holy Spirit has the ability to change anyone and make it last forever. We can not employ the Holy Spirit in the lives of our children if they do not have the knowledge of who Jesus Christ is. The place of prayer in the life of our children brings them to the saving knowledge of who Jesus Christ is and the numerous gifts of the holy spirit.
Good habits are best formed when young. We should start praying for our children from an early stage. I would say from the moment they take their first breath till they grow old. The act of parenting is a life time job, not a part time job. If we intend to raise Godly children, generations, then we must pray for them constantly. “We fight victoriously when we fight on our knees”.
Godly virtues developed in our children is a powerful strategy  for defense against the enemy who does nothing but roar around seeking for who to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Our children can not overcome sin on their own, you can’t imagine the pressure to be bad and be like their mates they have to go through every day. They live in a sin stained world and limits their goals to earthly goals rather a than on eternal goals.
Our children are gifts from God to us and he has entrusted them to our care. They belong to him and if we have this mindset then we will understand the place of prayer in their lives and they need for us to point them in the right direction and back to God. “Pilgrim’s Progress, said, “You can do more than pray, after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.”

How Justified Are You.... .

We are saved not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit"</strong></em> Total Justification by faith was Martin Luther's great spiritual and theological breakthrough. It did not come easily. He had tried everything from sleeping on hard floors and fasting to climbing a staircase in Rome while kneeling in prayer. Monasteries, disciplines, confessions, masses, absolutions, good works-all proved fruitless. Peace with God eluded him. The thought of the righteousness of God pursued him. He hated the very word "righteousness," which he believed provided a divine mandate to condemn him. Light finally dawned for Luther as he meditated on Romans 1:17, "<em>For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith</em>." He saw for the first time that the righteousness Paul ha...

Something He Was.....

Once again he's bruised and broken, before he has the chance to explain the words spoken. Misguided and lied to one more time, made him stand up and fight for what's right One door closed as another one opened. The scars will fade from every stroke and cut. He knows what he wants and he knows what he needs. It's not an open heart that will eternally bleed A strong man has grown from something he was He's got places to go and knows where to begin from Blindness has led him to a dead end street, but another avenue appeared at his street With shadows behind him, he looked at what lie ahead He felt renewed strength to dry tears that were shed He brushed off the dirt and reprogrammed his mind With much needed self love, his mind will unwind With a look in the mirror and a smile on his face, his wounds will be healing, his steps retraced. But he's determined to make it and he knows that he can Because the man that he was is now Better

No Place Like Home…

Home is anywhere you find peace and fulfillment, anywhere you are free to be yourself, express yourself and still be accepted. It could also be within the confines of a building, although not all the time. Growing up, i was a bit hyperactive and troublesome. I would go outside and look for trouble and when a fight starts, i would run back home where i know i will be safe and my brother’s would fight for me. To me, my home was my safe haven, my dad my hero, my mom my mentor and my siblings my best support system. It didn’t matter where i was, i would always want to run back home.  Over the years i have discovered that a lot of people do not feel at home in their homes, nor use their voices in their own homes. We must have all heard of the saying “Home is where the heart is.”right? For me, my home isn’t just a place where i eat and sleep, it’s also a place where i find peace, a place where i don’t have to hide what I feel and how i feel. It serves a greater purpose than simpl...
