Nobody Else…..

I thought it couldn’t be done
With such beautiful decay, beautiful creatures are every where
I kept running and kept hiding
I was never good at finishing anything I start
All I wanted was a voice, yet no one would listen
But you caught me and changed everything
You made a difference where nobody else seems to
You gave me a voice louder than mine
Questions and answers to life you got them all
Got me to where I wouldn’t reach
You would go along as long as I was going
You showed me how worthwhile things can be when we earn them
How things can be seen clearly without the tears and in the rain
You showed me it was no use standing along the road when I could go on the ride with you.
There was no need to sit and fantasize or dream about pot of gold’s nor about the things I would like to have when all the gold and silver belongs to you
You drew me close even when all I wanted was to be far away
Nobody else does it like you do
Nobody else writes it just like you
With every broken chord you keep making beautiful music
It’s been you all along and nobody else
And showed me what nobody else could show me
Me….

Blinded Devotion.........

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes people tick?  What moves people to do the things they do?  What causes people to react in the many ways they do?</strong></em> There can be no leaders without some form of followers. They( most leaders), with their smooth and fair speech, beguile the hearts of the innocent.  Because the leaders are blind, those who follow after them likewise are blind.  Their sense of assurance is a false sense of assurance.  They think they have peace when in reality they are like Judah of old crying, “Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14).  Many of our own congregations are like the churches at Sardis who have a reputation that lives but are dead (Revelation 3:1) and at Laodicea who say, “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;” but are really “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17).   The blind...

Value of Adversity

I  spent most of my life thinking of adversity as the obstacle between me and success. Over the last three years, I've changed my perspective on adversity. The value of pursuing success isn't the success itself. The value comes from the adversity that you must overcome in the process AND who that forces you to become in the process. THAT is what is valuable. Let me give a concrete example. The value of striving to be a millionaire isn't the money itself. The value is in who you become in the process -- a person who has: overcome societal assumptions about what is and isn't possible;confronted and overcome self-limiting beliefs;discovered how to notice opportunities overlooked by others;learned to be of service to others;grasped the nuances of creating value for others. Most of the people i have come in contact with tend to be in high-income brackets. Some I've worked with over many years What I've found most remarkable isn't their financial success....

Being You....
